“There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love. We love Him because He first loved us.”
1 John 4: 18-19

Mountains

The Grand Canyon, Niagara Falls, the Egyptian pyramids. All these things I have heard about but never seen except in pictures. I have an idea of the grandeur of these wonders of the world. But I also know that unless I see them in person, I’ll never truly appreciate the scale or feel the awe they impart to onlookers.

The same can be said of God. We can hear about Him and know all the facts available to us. We can have an idea of Him and catch glimpses of Him in others now and again. But until we experience His presence personally, it will be like staring at a picture in a magazine.

My hope for you is that you’ve already experienced Him. But if you haven’t then I pray this blog is like looking in a magazine and being inspired to take the next step to seek Him out yourself.

The great news for all of us, is that no matter how much we get to know God or how close we draw to Him, there’s always more to see and more to explore. Even Moses, who met with God in person and who saw His glory personally said these words:

“O Sovereign Lord, you have only begun to show your greatness and the strength of your hand to me, your servant.” Deuteronomy 3:24a (NLT)

He made this statement AFTER the signs in Egypt, the parting of the Red Sea, the delivery of the Ten Commandments, and numerous other miracles as they wandered the wilderness for forty years! Moses knew that he was just beginning to scratch the surface.

My prayer for us is that every day we see a bit more so we can say with Job, “I had heard about God, but now I’ve seen Him with my own eyes!” As we learn to embrace our place as His daughters, lean into His love, and trust Him with our singleness, I know we’ll fall more and more in love with Him.

In the process, we’ll become the women He made us to be. His daughters. His warriors. His ambassadors on this earth. In Him, we’ll find fulfillment, hope, and joy. Look to God, draw near to Him and be amazed at the wonders He reveals to you.

Father, thank you for allowing us to draw near to You. Thank You for wanting to be known by us and for loving us as we stumble our way through this life. Continue to reveal Yourself as we seek to understand You and know You more completely. We love You want to honor You in all we do. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Daughter of God, you will find wholeness in Christ.

Michelle
